If you look a map of Nepal , it is more or less rectangular in shape . It is 900km from east to west and 150 to 180 km from North to south . The lowest altitude is around 75m from sea level and the highest point is of course the summit of Everest 8848m. We we talk about trekking in Nepal , we talk Annapurnas , Everest and Langtang . But, there are some more region where we can do hiking , trekking and cultural visit as well.
Eastern part of Nepal is less known but equally beautiful place of Nepal than other western part of the country . There is three popular districts Ilam , Pachthar and Taplejung has many attractive and beautiful places . Ilam is well known for tea gardens. Short trek can be done in Pachthar and of course Taplejung is very popular for Kanchenjung Himal ( 3rd Highest peak in the world ) , beautiful Kumbhakarna Mountain and other peak. Very popular Hindu goddess temple Pathivara temple is there .
